The objectives of this prospective case control study are:
- To evaluate the feasibility of FMD, BIS fluid assessment and PWV measurement in CKD patients following COVID-19 disease and matched CKD control-patients without a history of previous SARS-Cov 2 infection;
- To determine the long-term impact of the COVID-19 disease on markers of CV risk and ED in patients with CKD, on a composite CV outcome (time to first non-fatal myocardial infarction, non-fatal stroke, hospitalization for heart failure or CV death) and on all-cause mortality;
- To determine the long-term impact of the COVID-19 disease on markers of CV risk and ED in patients with CKD on a composite renal outcome: doubling of creatinine or dialysis initiation;
- To determine long-term impact of the COVID-19 disease on markers of CV risk and ED in patients with CKD on eGFR and proteinuria evolution.
